Wall Street protesters dress as zombies in NYC
Associated Press= NEW YORK (AP) — Protesters speaking out against corporate greed and other issues in New York City are dressing as corporate zombies and greeting Wall Street workers as they head into the office.
Patrick Bruner, a spokesman for the group, says Occupy Wall Street demonstrators are being urged to dress in business wear with white faces and blood, and will march while eating monopoly money. He says financial workers should see them "reflecting the metaphor of their actions."

Occupy Wall Street protest: NYPD accused of heavy-handed tactics
Force criticised by protesters, who claim they were deliberately led on to road before being penned in and arrested
As Salman Rushdie put it in a tweet: "The world's economy has been wrecked by these rapacious traders. Yet it is the protesters who are jailed."

We are the 99 per cent
Occupy Wall Street is a peaceful stand against the big American rip-off.
Support it and regain your dignity
Their message is very clear and simple: get money out of the political process; strive for equality in taxation and equal rights for all regardless of race, gender, social status, sexual preference or age. We must stop poisoning our food, air and water for corporate greed. The people on Wall Street and in the banking industrial complex that destroyed our economy must be investigated and brought to justice under the law for what they have done by stealing people's homes and savings.

'Occupy Wall Street': Obama's term is four more years of Bush
A wave of public discontent in the US shows no sign of abating following weekend protests against corporate greed which saw hundreds of peaceful demonstrators arrested, sparking accusations of heavy-handed policing.
Defiant anti-Wall-Street activists are refusing to back down, saying more marches against corporate greed and social inequality are in the pipeline.
A new season in a different nation: the Arab Spring has become America's Autumn.

Wall Street protests head west/ Hopefully North
The Occupy Wall Street protests are heading west to other cities. Many say that people from all backgrounds are coming together because it is known that the US is in trouble and something needs to change. Luke Rudkowski, independent journalist, tells us what it was like on the streets in NYC.

The Occupy Wall Street demonstrators are planning to march on the New York police department headquarters in protest at last week's pepper-spray controversy. Paul Harris (PH) and Adam Gabbatt (AG) are there.

Occupy Wall Street protest to march into Canada
Activists are planning an occupation of Toronto's financial district as well as other Canadian cities following in the footsteps of protesters currently camped out on Wall Street in New York City.
A group calling itself Occupy Toronto Market Exchange has launched a website to organize a march on Bay Street beginning Oct. 15.
That's a Saturday, when the stock exchange is closed and few people are working in Canada's financial capital.
About 830 people on Facebook have replied they would attend the event in Toronto.

Why Isn't 'The Daily Show' Covering Occupy Wall Street?
The voice of a generation, so long as they aren't protesting?
Whether or not you think the Occupy Wall Street protests are effective, you can't deny that they are news. They've been covered by most of the major networks and newspapers at this point. Even NPR, who initially released a statement explaining why they weren't covering the protests, have decided that the story is too big to ignore. However, one major news source has continued to ignore the protests, and it may not be the one you'd expect: The Daily Show. That's right, America's most trusted newsman and the sarcastic voice of a generation Jon Stewart has stayed silent on a group of protesters who probably all watch his show.
Even more interesting, The Daily Show's silence on Occupy Wall Street seems to go even further than just plain ignoring the protests. If you do a search for "Occupy Wall Street Daily Show," you'll find several results from the show's official forum. These were threads in the "Story Ideas" section, but all of them have been deleted. Several more Occupy Wall Street threads have popped up there again (like I said, Daily Show fans and Occupy Wall Street protesters have a lot of overlap) without any official response from the show or the forum moderators.

Immortal Technique Speaks To "Occupy Wall Street"
The "Occupy Wall Street" protests have been receiving some unwanted police attention lately, but they've also been noticed by some more supportive parties. One of those supporters is rapper Immortal Technique who stopped by the park last night to talk about the movement, why he thinks it's important, and... cell phone cancer:

Thousands Protest at Bank of America Offices in Boston
Boston – Police have arrested two dozen protesters for trespassing during a demonstration against Bank of America's foreclosure practices at the banking giant's offices in downtown Boston.
The Boston Herald reports that the event was an act of civil disobedience that the organizers intended to send the message that the lender's practices were unfair.
"They wanted to be arrested, and we obliged," Boston police Commissioner Edward F. Davis told the newspaper.
Organizers say about 3,000 people joined the protest.
More than 700 arrested in Wall Street protest
(Reuters) - Police reopened the Brooklyn Bridge Saturday evening after more than 700 anti-Wall Street protesters were arrested for blocking traffic lanes and attempting an unauthorized march across the span.
